[Coverage] 4 Things We Love About iKON & iKON 2018 CONTINUE TOUR in KUALA LUMPUR

On 13th October 2018’s Saturday, the date marked the second time iKON have had its solo concert here in Malaysia. Kuala Lumpur is their 3rd stop within the tour after opening the series at Seoul and continued to Taipei, exciting their fans namely iKONICs. The group made of seven members: B.I, Bobby, Jay, Ju-Ne, Chan, DK & Song brought out yet another amazing show ‘iKON 2018 CONTINUE TOUR in KUALA LUMPUR’ at Stadium Malawati, Shah Alam with a duration of 2 hours, performing nearly 20 songs! And all of it LIVE!

Different Venue, Better Stadium

Previous iKONcert 2016 : Showtime Tour was held in Stadium Negara and this time around, Stadium Malawati Shah Alam hosted iKON 2018 CONTINUE TOUR. Based on our experience, the venue is a lot better compared to the previous one. There is a huge parking area that could accommodate a large number of vehicles on the day of the concert day. While it is held in Shah Alam (outside Kuala Lumpur), transportation is easy peasy as the organizer arranged a free shuttle bus from KTM Station Batu Tiga to Stadium Malawati from 10.00 am to 9.30 pm. Interpreter who?

Surely almost all Kpop concert in Malaysia are held in Korean language and we need an interpreter for the show. However, iKON boys were using English to communicate with fans during the concert! How cool is that? An exception for the native speaker like Bobby & Chan, the efforts of the rest of 5 members to speak in English during the concert is applaudable. This has shown how hard they have worked to take away that barrier between them & international iKONICs. Good job boys!

Growth & Even More Energetic Performance

The 2 years before, we have seen the beginner iKON – a group of talented & energetic boys performing Hip Hop Kpop songs, they were still stuttering during ment. At times their jokes hardly reach the fans, and a few minor mistakes are committed here and there during the concert. Those had made up the iKON today, they are no longer those stuttering boys! Performing nearly 20 songs and all live at it, we can see the boys matured in sense of not only delivering the songs at 200% but also leading the show as easy as breathing yet with a powerful note & leaving the fans no ends of awe.

Violet Ocean & Goodbye Road for the first time!

Malaysian iKONICs were truly blessed becoming the first overseas audience to get the chance of watching the newly released GOODBYE ROAD performance! Making it more memorable, the fans actually planned a fan project called Violet Ocean during the performance & the boys noticed it! Yay! Actually, GOODBYE ROAD was supposed to be a surprise for Malaysian iKONICs yet the boys were the one at the surprising end by asking how did Malaysian iKONICs know that they would be performing the song?
