Heavy rain and thunderstorm over the weekend of 13 and 14 April 2019 did not stop the crowd from attending the UChat Songkran Day Out Event. Held at Setia City Mall, the 2 days event covers various activities like water fun games and food trucks are scattered around the venue. The highlight of the event is, of course, the concert on both nights!
All attendees were given a goodie bag loaded with a waterproof phone case, an orange UChat Songkran Day Out T-shirt and also a water gun. The Water Tournament were held on both days including games such as Water Gun Deathmatch, Giant Water Pong, Water Soccer and many more. The Water Tournament was placed at the Basic Zone and were open until 5 in the evening. Unfortunately, it was raining on both days so MyKpopHuntress couldn’t get to check out the things that are happening at the Basic Zone.
The concert! As’ad Motawh, Min Chen, BUNKFACE and BNK48 performed for the first day while Priscilla Abby, Elizabeth Tan, Jannine Weigel and our main focus, Chung Ha were scheduled for the second day of the event. The concert on the second day starts with a downpour which gradually becomes drizzle by the time Chung Ha was up to perform. After an introduction by the host, the I.O.I poster girl, a temporary group made of Top 11 from the sensational Produce 101 reality TV show first ever season, came out on stage to perform Gotta Go as her first song of the night. Dressed in a light pink blouse, Chung Ha continues her stage with her OST, Pit-A-Pat from the drama Strong Woman Do Bong Soon.
As the night gets deeper, things get hotter. Chung Ha then performs Roller Coaster followed by her debut song, Why Don’t You Know. Before ending her stage and the concert, she performed the song that shot her to stardom from Produce 101, which was Bang Bang, originally by Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicky Minaj. It was indeed a hot night graced by the even hotter Chung Ha!
