QWER made history on 17 January 2026 as the first K pop girl band to ever perform at Zepp Kuala Lumpur, bringing their 1st World Tour ROCKATION to a packed venue filled with anticipation and excitement. Despite clashing with another major K pop concert happening elsewhere in the city on the same night, Zepp KL was a full house, a strong testament to QWER’s growing popularity and the unwavering support from their fans in Malaysia.

From the moment the lights went down and the band stepped on stage, the energy inside the venue was undeniable. The crowd, notably filled with enthusiastic fanboys alongside fangirls, proved that support for QWER knows no boundaries. Regardless of numbers, the collective energy was powerful as ever, erupting into cheers as QWER launched into their opening song and set the tone for a night driven by live instrumentation and raw performance.

Chodan’s powerful drumming, Magenta’s steady basslines, Hina’s sharp guitar riffs, and Siyeon’s emotive vocals came together seamlessly, highlighting QWER’s strength as a true band within the K pop scene.

One of the most touching moments of the night came when fans surprised Hina with a special birthday project. As messages and cheers filled the venue, the atmosphere shifted into something deeply emotional. Hina was visibly moved, holding back tears as she thanked fans for the unexpected celebration, while the other members shared in the moment, clearly touched by the love shown.
Throughout the night, QWER maintained a warm and genuine connection with the audience. The members spoke to fans in a mix of Korean and English, and delighted the crowd by attempting to speak Bahasa Malaysia, drawing loud cheers and laughter from the audience. Their efforts made the night feel even more personal, showing their appreciation for local fans and the country they were performing in for the first time.

The setlist balanced high energy rock tracks with softer, emotional moments, allowing fans to fully immerse themselves in the performance. With minimal distractions on stage, the focus remained firmly on the music and the band’s chemistry, making the concert feel intimate despite the packed venue.

QWER thanked Malaysian fans for making their first Zepp Kuala Lumpur show such a memorable one and promised to return. With a historic first at the venue, a sold out crowd despite competing concerts, an emotional fan led birthday celebration for Hina, and heartfelt efforts to connect in the local language, QWER’s ROCKATION stop in Kuala Lumpur stood out as a night that was loud, sincere, and truly unforgettable.
