Korean rock band CNBLUE achieved a historic milestone with their performance at the 2024 CNBLUE LIVE – VOYAGE into X IN MALAYSIA, becoming the first Korean band to perform at the Arena of Stars, Resorts World Genting. Situated at an altitude of 1,865 meters, the venue’s unique challenges—such as thinner air and lower oxygen levels—did not deter CNBLUE, who delivered an exceptional and heartfelt performance, further cementing their bond with Malaysian fans.
Overcoming the Altitude Challenge
Performing at high altitudes requires significant breath control and stamina, but CNBLUE proved their professionalism and adaptability. Lead vocalist Jung Yonghwa shared, “Singing here is a new experience for us, but your energy makes everything worth it!” Despite the air pressure challenges, the band delivered a flawless set, leaving fans in awe of their resilience and talent.
A Fulfilling Promise
This concert marked CNBLUE’s second visit to Malaysia in 2024, following their earlier stop for CNBLUENTITY, where they left fans with a heartfelt promise. Lee Jungshin sported a sleek red watch, complementing his charismatic stage presence. Kang Minhyuk added flair with a stylish red belt, matching his dynamic drumming. Jung Yonghwa, ever the entertainer, charmed fans with a cute red Christmas clip in his hair. He playfully chirped “Merry Christmas!” spreading holiday cheer and earning adoration from the audience.
A Special Connection with Malaysia
Known for their ongoing efforts to connect with Malaysian fans, CNBLUE took it a step further this time by learning Malay lyrics for one of their songs. During the concert, they performed a special version of “Sleepless Night” with parts of the lyrics translated into Malay. Fans were delighted and please their cute attempt at singing in Malay earned loud cheers and applause even the lyric is hard, making the moment one of the highlights of the evening.
